People who are susceptible to measles, usually develop symptoms after 10 days of contact with a period of 7-21 days. Signs of measles begin with light-to-moderate fever, nose, red eyes, and cough.
After a few days, a rash starts with a spreading face in the rest of the body, which contains fever which can reach 105 degrees.Symptoms can range from severe to light, depending on the person.
Measles can lead to pneumonia and other complications, especially over 20 in young children and adults. The disease can cause serious problems with pregnant women and weakened immune systems.
People with measles can spread the virus for four days from the start of the rash and may be up to four days after the start of the rash.
